Willis Towers Watson Public Limited Company, a leading global broking, advisory, and solutions company, has reportedly acquired Aerosure, an aviation industry specialist. The acquisition is effective on an immediate basis.
The Sydney-based Aerosure will be integrated into the Global Aerospace business of Willis Towers Watson (WTW), offering a range of aviation insurance broking solutions to service the risk and insurance needs of the aviation industry in New Zealand and Australia along with the broader Asia Pacific region.
Greg Rector, Aerosure’s current Managing Director, will now serve as Managing Director, Australasia Aviation Division into WTW and will be accompanied by his Aerosure teammates.
According to Simon Weaver, the Head of Corporate Risk & Broking, Australasia, and Asia, Aerosure is an aviation industry leader with a wide range of aviation-centered industry clients which includes airports, airlines, and air traffic control, dedicated to their client’s long-term position.
Weaver noted that for many years, WTW has closely collaborated with Aerosure to offer services to local aviation clients. Including Aerosure into the WTW family projects the company’s global strategy to work with high-potential and high-performing businesses in its chosen industry sectors and markets.
This acquisition seeks great opportunities in offering additional solutions to clients across Australasia and Asia bolstering operators and companies as they return to normal operations, added Weaver.
John Rooley, the Chief Executive Officer, Global Aerospace at WTW expressed that the inculcation of Aerosure’s capabilities enables this acquisition to further expand the presence of WTW’s aerospace business. This will improve the company’s client offering both globally and locally as the teams collaborate with its aviation specialists in more than 35 locations across the WTW network.
