Unibui, the Bay Area-based university management system, has reportedly acquired CampusPost, an ed-tech company, for an undisclosed amount. The deal was finalized in July of last year.
This acquisition allows Unibui to increase its strategic presence in the thriving consumer applications industry and effectively reach more consumers through iOS.
Talking about the deal, the Chief Executive Officer of Unibui Payom Niazmandi noted that early industrial assessments led to the company identifying the mobile app of CampusPost as best-in-class to connect with students.
The deal adds a new array of software solutions to the AWS-supported Unibui platform and extends its product compliance, especially in the mobile sector. Unibui currently serves more than 3,600 universities and nearly 21 million students which provided an opportunity to save in the communities.
Students using Unibui save nearly USD 2,500 per year which includes tuition reimbursement. As a result, colleges obtain accurate student information like contact registration, updated address, and purchasing information. For corporate and local businesses, Unibui offers unmatched marketing access to students, creating long-term brand loyalty with the most valuable demographic of the population.
The California Community Colleges System chose Unibui as the approved student data and benefits platform. This is America’s biggest higher education system comprising 114 colleges and nearly 2.2 million students. Unibui is compliant with FERPA and local administration across all 50 states.
The executive team of CampusPost, which comprises Co-Founders Matthew Longfield and Timothy Longfield, have joined Unibui as full-time employees. They will work to successfully integrate the two operations and build Unibui’s brand.
The Longfield brothers stated that the merger between CampusPost and Unibui is organic as both companies offer complementary products. They believe that Niazmandi will be an excellent leader and build on the brand developed by them and provide top-quality digital services to students on the West Coast.
For the record, CampusPost is a Cambridge, MA-based company that has developed an iOS application to serve institutions and students.
