B2W, an online retail company that owns brands like Submarino, Americanas.com and Shoptime, has reportedly inked a partnership with Linx, a leader and specialist in retail technology, to strengthen its online to offline strategy (O2O) strategy. This partnership would enable customers to access their purchased products quickly and cheaply from the closest physical store or through pickup in store option. It will reduce shipping cost and delivery time of online purchased products. B2W’s geolocation service feature would further aid customers with information regarding the physical stores where they can purchase the needed item. Consumers can also receive the item at their address with the help of B2W’s and Linx’s logistics partners. Speaking on the partnership, Jean Klaumann, Vice President, Linx Digital, said that the company is bringing omnichannel operations to Brazil and its partnership with B2W is a vital step in this evolution. According to Klaumann, this partnership opens the door for opportunities for more than 50,000 Linx’s customer retailers. Incidentally, the introduction of the Linx OMNI OMS (Order Management System) solution has become the benchmark in the nation. It has allowed numerous brands like Nike, Drogaria Pacheco SP, Boticário, Centauro, Alpargatas, Hering, Lojas Marisa, Vivara, TokStok, Restoque, Inbrands etc. to promote transformation from offline to online in their consumer relationship. In addition to this move, Linx has also recently inked agreements with Magalu, a leading retail digital platform in Brazil, to utilize its seller’s physical stores as a delivery option for products sold on Linx platform. This move would allow consumers to make a purchase on Netshoes or Magalu website and gives an option to pick up the product from a partner’s physical store. Commenting on which, Klaumann said that their firm is making history by promoting a real Omnichannel experience, connecting Magalu's audience with brands that have turned physical stores into distribution centers and showrooms.
