i2c Inc., leading banking technology and digital payment provider has reportedly partnered with KARTY, a Qatar-based fintech firm that offers customized digital financial solutions to the MEA region.

KARTY’s mobile wallet will use the global payments platform of i2c to offer Visa-branded digital cards, allowing cashless, instant P2P transactions on the Visa network. The mobile wallet will also comprise financial management tools backed by data to enable users to excel in budgeting whilst gaining transparency into their spending behavior across a broad range of categories like transportation, groceries, health care among others.

Once fully operational, the Qatar-based company will be regulated by the Qatar Central Bank Sandbox and among other accolades, the firm was the winner of the 2021 Qatar Science & Technology Park Accelerator (QSTP) program.

Aurangzaib Khan, the General Manager of i2c in the MEA region, expressed that the company is delighted to collaborate with KARTY as it seeks to enable digital-first payments in the country while offering to add insights and transparency into the spending behavior of the cardholder.

Apart from the QSTP and QFTH, KARTY is supported by the Qatar Foundation’s Research Development Innovation Sector, Qatar Development Bank, and Qatar Financial Centre.

Talking about the collaboration, KARTY’s Co-Founder Mohammed Suleiman expressed that the best-in-class payments platform of i2c enabled the company to develop an inherent mobile wallet that works to simplify spending as well as budgeting for Qatari residents.

Suleiman cited that the company selected i2c as its partner of issue processing due to its global reputation for best-in-class security, unprecedented reliability, and deep expertise within the payments sector.
