The partnership would deliver mobile banking as a Managed Hosted Service, which will allow CR2 to gain new customer opportunities in the market.
CR2, an Irish banking software company, has recently inked a strategic partnership with Network International, a leader in developing technology-enabled payments solutions across Africa and the Middle East, to provide mobile banking as a Managed Hosted Service, allowing banks to cost-effectively manage and rapidly deploy their mobile banking services.
For the record, CR2 has recently announced the release of its new mobile banking platform called BankWorld Mobile App, which offers various services like KYC, Account Opening and Customer Onboarding functionality that plays a vital role in customer acquisition. Additionally, the app is feature-rich and intuitive and offers personal financial management, live communication channels, integrated payments functionality and customization by the consumer.
As for Network International, it is one of the growing providers of digital commerce across Africa and the Middle East region. The company offers a wide range of technology-enabled payments application as a Managed Service across 220 Financial Institutions around the region.
Sources cite that the new venture between Network International and CR2 will offer banks access to a modern banking platform as a Managed Service which would considerably reduce the need for IT support from prospective bank clients and reduce upfront costs.
Speaking on the move, Kieran Kilcullen, Chief Commercial Officer, CR2, said that as the company continues to expand its customer base, it recognizes the need to provide flexible deployment opportunities for banks. The company chose to collaborate with Network International, as it could benefit from their experience, deep technical expertise, market-leading position and reputation.
Moreover, this partnership allows CR2 to gain new customer opportunities in the market and enables banks to quickly implement mobile banking services.
