Beck’s and Inflexion Point Technologies LLC has reportedly established a partnership that will help farmers customize their usage of biological seed treatments to growing conditions and agronomic zones.
Steve Smith, the Chief Executive Officer of Inflexion Point Technologies cited that the company is pleased to partner with Beck’s to commercialize POP-ST (prescriptive, on-planter seed treatment) technology.
Smith also said that the long dedication of Beck’s in providing value to farmers will assure that the company’s POP-ST technology is farmer-approved and field-tested. The CEO added that the collaboration with Beck’s will help IPT in positioning itself to optimally serve the requirements of its customers.
Beck’s will operate POP-ST field trials starting spring of this year using ALMACO research planters provided with the licensed POP-ST technology of IPT. The trials will help Beck’s assess the commercial potential of seed treatment technologies through the POP-ST solution.
Nick Iwig, the President of IPT expressed that the company’s POP-ST technology increases the number of relevant seed technologies applied by a farmer in comparison to existing practices. Iwig added that the POP-ST is the first on-seed application technology that enables farmers to retain biological seed treatments in the maximal state until they are installed in real-time, offering the most value to farmers.
Scott Beck, the President of Beck’s stated that the company considers the POP-ST solution a distinct, customized method in providing high-valued, additional seed treatments to maximize the profitability of farmers.
Beck added that the advanced approach of Inflexion Point Technologies witnessed the opportunity to deeply explore the linkages that the POP-ST system provides farmers in enhancing yields.
It is worth noting that there has been a significant expansion in the biological seed treatment market and novel technology is necessary to allow eco-friendly, yield-protecting solutions that maximize return on investment for farmers.
